Alan you have not properly grasped what mehran has told you.
The installer whatever he has done with "chemicals" has NOT cleansed the system properly and this problem has occured. Usually it happens after 3-6 months so he must have left the system VERY dirty.
He probably said "its a **** boiler and I am going to do the minimum to fit it and get paid".
Under the Sale of Goods act the installer is responsible for properly fitting it and cleaning the system. The same problem would have happened with any brand of boiler so badly installed.
You should get the installer to come back and power flush the system at no additional cost.
Did he notify CORGI who sent you a Certificate? I expect not so you can complain to CORGI and get them to come and inspect the boiler and serve a defects notice onn him.
We would charge £840 to install boiler if its a Vizo or a Vaillant as the same work is required but then we give a full guarantee!
