Hi Guys,
Just bought a new house that has a Heatslave 15/19 installed (oil burner).
The programmer that is connected to it as a couple of settings for DHW which are Off, Cont, Twice, Once.
Now I understand what they all do, but not sure if it's ok to leave it on continuous? When I DO leave it on continuous it obviously starts up a lot to keep the tank water hot.. and when not doing that, emits an annoying hum (very annoying at night).
If I set it to Once or Twice, outside the programmed times I get no hot water and then when it does come into timed, it has to heat the tank up again.. which can't be very effecient.
So, I am leaning to leaving it on continuous. Is that ok with this boiler?
I am also thinking of changing the programmer to a Honeywell CM927 and removing the existing unit... but what happens about the DHW? Previous boilers I've used don't have storage tanks so don't need a continuous setting as they just heat it as the tap requests it?!?!
Confused
