Ideal Logic is a cracking boiler. Fitted loads JohnWayne has fitted none I would guess

Do you have problems with your current boiler? If yes then jump at the new boiler. Also you will probs get a better hot water flow rate

Then again if its free go for it, you will get a three year warranty at least.

I have fitted 100's of boilers for council revites. Yes their were some who didnt deserve what they were getting but the majority was for old people who were very house proud and had worked all there lives and young familys who could not get on the property ladder. New boilers SHOULD lower the gas bills which is a massive relief to the poorer in our community.

Ideal boilers are, and always have been crap. But if it is for free,then snap it up. I just think that it is outrageous that you are being offered something totally free of charge including fitting then have the audacity to question the quality of the product. `New` gas installer is correct, I have never fitted an Ideal boiler, and I never will.

Ideal were once one of the best untill their last few offering culminating in the Icos/Isar turds.

They have seriously turned a corner now with the Logics and I have just fitted three Ideal Vogues which could well be one of the best boilers I have ever seen (up the with ATAGS)

I`m not trying to be hostile at all, just think the taxpayer is constantly being shafted by the sponger.Low paid or otherwise,I`m paying for his new boiler, he isn`t contributing a single penny,now I have to justify the quality? I'm sorry I even asked a question, I only wanted to see what sort of opinions people had about the boilers and if there were any potential problems for the future to look out for.
I have paid into the system all my life, I have paid my taxes just like everyone else.
The scheme is called the 'Eco' scheme, and it isn't funded by the taxpayer at all, it is being done by my local insulation company who is running the scheme.
Thank you for the information to everyone who has helped.
I am also a young lady who is struggling like everyone else, I am lucky that I have a job, as there is a very high percentage of people out of work around where I live.

I am also looking into the Green Deal scheme, and interested in other ways of me saving on my energy bills.
A really silly question, but what are the advantages of having thermostatic radiator valves? And also, are the devices (magna clean i think they are called) are they a good idea to fit?
The green deal is paid off by myself through the savings in my energy bills, are there any other things I should look at to save on my energy bills?

Yes, they will prolong the life of your radiators and boiler.

I`m a plumber/gas fitter not a wizard, You could always go round to Charnwood`s house and let him bore you to sleep,he`s too old for sex apparently. Does a cracking Bovril,I believe.

Magna Clean is obviously well branded, I use them, but a bit pricey,up to you, you can get cheaper one`s tho.How are you getting a free boiler and asking about filters?? You sound like a landlord mate.Nice move, portraying yourself as a female. You is well Busted guy!!!!!!!!!!
