just got a pug expert from a garage, driving it home and it cut-out!

as if it had run out of fuel, but the gauge said it had plenty, put some fuel in anyway, turned engine, no joy, just killed the battery.

the garage i got it from said they serviced it, could this be a fault with the fuel pump???? or maybe the fuel filtter? is it worth changing the filtter myself before i ring the garage ( garage not too local)

please someone help, any advice wecome.

Sounds like the fuel system needs proper bleeding, but as you've just bought it I would get the dealer to sort it. Saves them blaming you for anything later.

I am presuming this is a diesel. If so it sounds like the system hasnt been fully bled.
I would try bleeding it before changing any parts. Might be worth a phone call to the garage though and see what they sat first though
