Hi all,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me identify the plastic washer thingy (for lack of a better description!) in the image below?

They are tapped into holes in the underside of our bathroom sink, and the towel rail is then bolted into them to attach it to the sink.

Thanks!

1. Its an expanding nut.
2. If you need a new one I doubt you will find one exactly the same. Measure the outside diameter of the part just below the flange, and measure the screw thread of the bolt (probably M6), and try and find something broadly equivalent.
3. If you have both but they wont fit, try:
3a. Removing the bolt.
3b. De-scaling the plastic plug part.
3c. Push the lower part (currently lime scaled) down away from the flange.
3d. Re-fit and tighten.

Many thanks oldbuffer. Unfortunately, the other nut is no more so I will do my best to find a suitable replacement. No joy on Amazon or eBay so will try local hardware and bathroom shops.
