I'll apologise in advance if this makes no sense to anyone...
I had a heating engineer in to change a Danfoss FP715 programmer to the Honeywell Sundial RF2 Pack 1. It was supposed to be easy where the new unit would fit onto the old back plate but it didnt, so he disconnected everything and re-wired it up. I think he wired it up incorrectly since he blew the programmer when attaching it to the back plate with the power on
So, I found another engineer and he is having similar problems trying to understand how it needs to be wired up. I bought the programmer myself this time so I'm afraid if he has wired it wrong aswel, I'm too afraid to turn it on.
My system consists of a Camray 5 Boiler and Grundfoss pump and it is central heating only.
The Boiler needs a permanent live and has a switching wire which should be connected to the programmer to fire up the boiler when triggered by the timer.
The pump only has power and doesnt have a switching wire.
What seems to be difficult to understand is whether the programmer powers the boiler and pump.
In the meantime, I have connected all the cables directly to the mains and everything fires up, the boiler and pump working simultaneously. I have the main switch so I can turn it on and off when required but I hope someone might be able to help me understand how it can be connected up to the programmer.
Thanks
