Help! Kitchen circuit not working and earth wire showing as live...

Do you have any twin and earth cable ,several metres ? Would come in handy if you have

Haha no worries, this sounds all too complicated anyway now so I think it's time to call a professional in but thanks so.much for all your help

A long shot, but stranger things have happened... is there any way the blue wire could be providing the neutral?

A sort of 'borrowed neutral' from some kind of bodge or repair?

Quite possibly. Was one of the tests I would have had done with the multimeter on site. But looks like poor old " kres" has had enough.

Firstly take voltage measurements ..
Switched live to earth conductors.
Switched live to the black neutrals.
Black neutrals to earth conductors.
Then the terminal block with two brown and a blue ,test for voltage between the blue there and the switched live ( the meters leads will not reach ,probably ,hence asking if you had any cable so you could rig up an extension)
Trying to establish if the lost neutral is at that terminal block. If it is you would be in business.

Switch live/ earth's 230/240 volts
Switch live/neutrals 230/240 ( that's what it should be, need to know what it is ,probably zero)
Earth/ neutrals O or a minimal volts
And if you can get 230/240 volts between switched live and the blue at that terminal block your in business !

All sorted some dust seemed to have been clogging the wagos! Interestingly the brown cable over at the extractor nylon connector was actually an earth cable that some dodgy sparky had decided to use as the live and had sleeved it brown!!!!
