We have just moved into a new house and the garden is awful!

There is an area at the end that we want to slab it is 3 metres square and a mound! it rises in the middle and has old tree stumps in. Do we need to build a base and if so please can anyone advise how and using what.

Needs to be as cheap as possible please

Thanks

An area 2m x 1.5m cannot have too many stumps.

google lifting stumps - choose a method and understand the effect of removing a stump.

As for laying slabs - use the search facility on this page, and similar topics below, and make your call from the many methods suggested.

I do hope that you realise that decks, patios and flagged areas etc. are now being looked at in the same light as textured ceilings and flock wallpaper?

What once seemed a good idea?
