Seco do the solenoid valves normally just push fit or are they solvent weld or is there another method of install?

The solenoid valve assembly on the original shower screw in to the bottom of the pump with an o ring seal.
The new valves have changed design and just push in with the original o ring/screws.
The pain in the ar*e bit is you have to unscrew half the shower internals to unscrew the old one.
