The I-joists in my two-year-old house don’t seem very strong. When I use the treadmill in one bedroom, the floor flexes so much that all the dresser drawers open by themselves. How can I fix this?

Move the treadmill to another location? or turn it through 90 degrees?

I think you've had the easy answers there, move it downstairs or run outside , anything else will require investigation work starting with lifting the flloring but my gut instinct is that the floor was engineered as a bedroom rather than a gym.

A treadmill upstairs on I joists! You're having a laugh!

Replace the floor with a concrete one you muppet!

In fact is this you?

Get back to the people that built the house, or contact the people that inspect new builds, and ignore the muppets that slur suggestions.... NHBC?

Why would people suggest to move the equipment, at fear of your life...or you could go out running in reality, rather than simulated on a treadmill.
