Help! My boiler is making noises

I have a Worcester HEatslave Junior boiler and is making noises. When the boiler heats up it sounds like it is boiling the water which is very noisy and the noise is heard in my bedroom (which is next to the kitche where the boiler is). Also my radiator in the lounge is cooler at the bottom and hot at the top.

Can anyone advise what could be wrong?

usually scale in the heat exchanger for the noise and sludge in the radiator for the cold bottom (so to speak).
