Hi people,

I have a broken (burnet out-long story) Potterton EP2000 CH/HW programer. I have taken off the control pannel to reveal the base plate, does anyone know how i can bypass the control to get the HW to fire up by connecting two of the terminals together..? if so whitch ones..?

On the base plate i have wires going to C D N L 1 3 4 5

I only need to get the Hot water going as i dont have an emursion heater. And dont want to blow the house up connecting the wrong ones!

Hopeing some of you clever guys can help, thanks in advance. :)

Any Potterton EP programmer should just clip onto the backplate without the need for re-wiring - you can get them from any decent plumbers merchant for about £50.

If you're competant at electrics,
L - live
1 - HW off
2 - CH off
3 - HW on
4 - CH on

thanks guys for you fast replys-much appreciated :D Yes i intend to purchase a new programer and clip on the base plate but am not going to get one until next week, so want to by pass.

So if i connect the L and the 3 i should get the HW to fire UP? Thanks!

Yes, If you do that then the HW will be permenantly on (under thermostatic control of course).

Andy
