Hi all,

I'm relatively new to DIY and would really appreciate some help changing a light fixture (UK). I've taken off the old fitting and uncovered the wires as shown in this picture: http://imgur.com/Nu0TsRs

These are the instructions: http://imgur.com/ZiKybu8

I just need some help identifying the live and switch wires. Am I right in thinking the switch wire is in the red sheath on the right of the picture, connected to the brown wire?

This would then make the 3 red wires the live wires that are not connected to the light fixture.

Is that correct?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you are correct. Just make sure you can udentify that single red again.

Tipex it!

Thank you!

So just to clarify (sorry I'm new to this), the 3 red wires will be attached to the bottom of the connector which is not connected to the light fixture, and the single red will be the switch wire that connects to the brown?
