I have the software/hardware to convert my home videos (VHS) to PC and I want to download onto DVD as a backup.

My PC can take DVD- or DVD+ or RW. Could anyone please advise which will be the best for this particular purpose? Needless to say I want to 'future-proof' if possible!

(I definitely will NOT want to rewrite but if for some other reason this is the best type of disk for this purpose, then I will use an RW disk.)

Thanks

Any of them will do. DVDRW I use if I'm going to overwrite the data at some point.

Question is are you just backing them up or do you actually want to watch them?

Cool just when you said backup I thought you might have got the wrong software.

Which maker of discs are you going to be using?

Stick to the well known brands like Verbatim, Maxell, TDK. Avoid unbranded discs unless you know who manufacturers them.
