Can anyone tell me how to remove the following shower handle, I've removed the grub screw but it's just not budging

I've tried doused it with white vinegar and a neat anti-limescale product but with no luck.

It's a thermostatic valve - the on/off handle came off really easily. Is there something I'm missing (have I got to do something with the safety button on the front)?

does the handle in the photo unscrew? if so there may be a grubscrew at the bottom of the hole.

The handle just turns back and forth to the cold/hot positions.

I've had a look in the hold and there is no other grub screw - just the a grooved 23mm spline similar to the following photo:

I think it must be corroded on, I've tried using limescale remover, WD-40, a hair dryer, tapping with a hammer

Any other ideas/substances?
