Help required.

I would like to build an apex shaped roof over the front door of the house, not a porch, just the top section, but have no ideas as yet where to start!

At the moment there is just a flat cement section jutting out from the wall at 90 degrees, about 30" x 12" ish.

Maybe could utilise this in with the design to give some extra support.

start with a sledge hammer and lose the concrete canopy.

then go buy yourself a pair of gallows brackets and start from there.

Was hoping for some plan type drawings/sketches as these might well be too expensive!

what's wrong with keeping the concrete canopy and putting an ornamental one round it?

Nothing I would think, just need some ideas as to how to??

Flashing, Material/wood, height above door, pre-made etc.
