Can anyone offer any advice? We have a Grant Outdoor Combi 90 boiler.
2 weeks ago we ran out of oil, had a delivery but the boiler chucked out plumes of black smoke out the flue and the chamber was gurgling!
Called Heating Eng, who serviced the boiler, the chamber had oil in it!! so soaked up much as poss, but the fibre board is soaked. Re-Tested but still smoking - not black now but grey. He thinks the oil may be contaminated but the oil co. say it cant be!
Anyways, this morning awoke to smoke (grey) bellowing out and the boiler firing (thought the Eng. had switched it all off!). Isolated the fuel and electrics this morning - smoke slowly eased but didnt stop.
Just arrived home and still a steady flow of grey smoke coming out of flue, and the chamber feels pretty hot!

Should I panic? call the Fire Brigade? Or has anyone experience this before?????

ANY advice much appreciated

No experience with oil but I would have thought it would be cool now if you isolated it this morning. Is it definitely isolated correctly.

Yep, isolatyed by turning off fuel valve and switching off electrics at the isolator switch.......
