Ok am I correct in thinking that a double socket spur is allowed, but then you carnt spur off this ?? Also can a 13amp power extention be plugged into the spur ???

Where in the house will the new socket be, how long will the spur cable be, what route will it take (are you aware of the rules for concealed cables?) and does the circuit have RCD protection?

That is correct for a ring final circuit. However, if your socket circuit is a radial final circuit then you can extend the circuit as much as you like provided it stays within the suggested limits.
