Dear All,
I purchased a HIVE mini thermostat that does heating and hot water for a conventional boiler plus separate hot water tank.
I was going to get it installed by British gas but they say they unable to do it as they are very busy.
The current set up I have is a Valient conventional boiler witch is connected to a danfoss programmer and also I have a Celect wireless thermostat connected. I actually fitted the Celect thermostat myself about 7 years ago with the help of this forum, I replaced a wired stat.
It was so long ago I have forgot most of what I did. I know the 2 wires in the programmer back plate that have black tape on going to N and L go to the wireless receiver. R2 on wireless receiver has a black wire that goes to 4 on programmer back plate and R1 in wireless is connected to a red wire that originally came out of 4 on programmer back plate (when it had a wired stat fitted)
I did make notes when I did this 7 years ago, but I have had a lot of sleep since then. I hope my description makes since to someone.
I'm going to try and fit the new hive thermostat myself, wanted to know if it might be within my capabilities.
I have attached photos of my current set up and would appreciate any advice before I start to disconnet the heating programmer just incase I do something wrong and lose my heating while it's cold.
Is it just the case of changing a couple of wires over, or im i being nieve?
Will the new hive receiver go in place of current Celect receiver or will it replace the danfoss programmer?
As always any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
thanks
Kevin

Hive will likely clip onto Danfoss backplate, so it’s just a case of linking the 2 switch wires either on the Celect or in wiring center.

thanks for quick reply.
The other thing I made a note about is that in the wiring center I had to take the wired stat wires out of T4 T5 and T2.
Then for the wireless stat I had to make a loop between T4 and T5.
I that what you mean by the 2 switch wires on the wiring center?
Thanks
