moving this weekend and just discovered there is no blinking meter.
yes, i know, i should have checked. never had this problem, how do i solve the situation this end of new year, or better, this side of xmas?

phone up and tell them your story, emphasizing the fact that you have 2 young children / infants and an ageing grandmother coming to stay and you don't want them to freeze to death..

ought to be there in a few hours..

what kind of an numpty decides to move the weekend of christmas???

Look for a house with an outdoor meter cabinet. Approach silently in the wee small hours with teeth blacked out. Remove meter. Slink away and bring warmth and hot water to you and yours.

offices should still be open today and def tomorrow think you phone BG trading first who then contact Transco.

If its in doors and you rig a bypass up for a few days who s going to know..Oh yeah all of us.

Let's hope there is gas in the street outside your house, cause you have to pay for the pipe to be laid. :!:

You get in touch with the company you will be buying your gas from and they make the necessary arrangements with Transo or whatever they call themselves now.

Most of the old ex BG have a numbered meter bridge they stole when they left.

Others have to find an old gas meter! The required bits are not normally available.

STOLE i never stole a bridge i just never handed it back. Now the kango ,makita drill, extension leads, fluke meter ,triple extension ladder, roof ladder and complete tool kit i stole them .  Ididn`t need to steel the electrical freezer kit as my mate nicked that..
Was a bit pis#ed when they wanted the van back but that was taking it a bit far

Parts to make a bridge are readily avialable if you know what to buy

forgot to mention: tofo boys did proper job here. meter gone, bracket gone AND governer gone. kind of puts a stop to bridging solutions.

:(

You better check there is gas at maintap as if they have done it truly right they cut off in street/house entry tee if no gas used in past year.

All stuff can be bought from bes ltd

there is gas at the ecv.
but no electric heaters left in south london.
edf shares expected to the rise
