Help with a ladder satnd off

I bought a ladder stand off which is great. the problem is that the guttering i want to get to is to the right of a window, and the width of wall from the window outwards is less than the span of the ladder stand off. So it doesnt work.
I then rtied to put the feet of the stand off higher up so that they rested on the facia, but the facia has glossy paint and the stand off feet slip.

any suggestions?

Affix a scaffold board or two across the window opening, and rest the ladder stand on that. You might need to screw it into the wall for security, or maybe you could tie or bungee it to a crossmember of the window frame?
