Hi all,

I recently swapped the faceplates of my sockets in the kitchen, all without hic-cup except the Cooker switch!! I have what seems to me an odd set up.

The mains comes in from seperate Cooker circuit. I have hob wired seperately which is working fine. I then have a single socket wired from cooker socket into which the Single oven is plugged into. This does not work? I swapped everything over exactly as it was originally.

I am stumped? :?:

Have you screwed onto the cable insulation instead of the conductor?

Is the single socket separate from the cooker switch or part of it?

If separate, have you wired the socket so that if the hob isolator is off, the socket is as well?

Also, if the socket is detached, it needs to be wired in the same size cable as the rest of the circuit.
