Help with crimping

Yes the imprints of the dots are both in the centre
Should they be on the inside or outside of the crimp,the dots that is
Looking at my crimper one side of the teeth shows the 3 colours
the other side has the dot impressions
I have been crimping ring crimps today, I have tried both ways and they both seem strong but which way round is correct... dots on the inside next to the ring or to the outside of the crimp next to the wire
