Help with dado rail on stairs please[pics show layout]

regarding the picture above, i think the rising diagonal line needs to level out about 3/4's of the way up the first flight, before proceeding up the next flight.

If I level out about 3/4's of the way up the first flight how do make the connection to the second flight?

It's up to you but to return it on itself you will have to level out the dado like Al said . So a 4" level part at the bottom , that's just what i think looks good .
