My apologies if this is a common question. I have tried searching for suitable threads. I will be installing 18 downlights over the weekend, I have never tried any thing like this before. I would like some guidelines and tips or tricks for completing this project. I have cut the holes in the ceiling thankfully without hitting any joists.

I need help with completing the wiring. The downlights are 50W and each have a transformer. I will be using a junction box to connect each of the downlights. I will be connecting to the existing ceiling rose.

thanks in advance.

Also.. What is the advantage of each light having a separate transformer
Is there is any harm in not installing a transformer?

in reverse

no transformer with 230 v supply and 12v lamp, you figure that one

more reliable, less chance of lamps burning out, smaller transformers

look in the for refernce section, lights in paralel, connections in ceiling rose
