help with glowworm ultimate 40ff

Kev, more help please if you're around!!!

My system is not performing correctly. last night everything was working ok - hot water and hot radiators.

today i come home from work to cold radiators but hot water. the boiler is firing for a couple of minutes then stopping every half hour or so. If I turn the knob on the boiler to 0 then the pump still runs and the boiler gurgles. after a few minutes if I turn the knob on (between min and max) then the boiler runs for a minute or so and then stops. I have turned the thermostat to max to try and force it but it does nothing. I have tried bleeding the pump and the bleed point but get just water. If i turn the tankstat up then this operates the system.

Is this pointing to a dodgy thermostat?? or am I barking up the wrong tree.... Also there are no LED's on in the boiler until it turns on then I get all four.

Any ideas please??

have you disturbed any wiring
gurgling will be some air in system

I've checked the wiring connections and all seem tight. I only swapped wire for wire when replacing the valve do am pretty confident that that'd right.
