I am about to replace my ageing homeflame fire. I fancy the Valor Dream, but it's only about 49% efficient. According to Valor the Homeflame Dream is 89% efficient, I cannot see how they can acheive this figure, has anyone any experience of this fire.
I await your comments.

I've fitted Valor Homeflames but do not know the dream version.

Stating the obvious, I would think that they gain this through the fact it is an outset fire and a better heat exchanger design, rather than an inset fire letting all the heat up the chimney.

Yep fitted a hole in the wall version , straight forward fix and an ok looking fire.

Thank you all for your comments, I think I'll go for the Homeflame Dream.

The Homeflame Dream is an inset fire, that's why I queried the efficiency.

That's progress I suppose.
