I've been looking for hidden metal shelf side runners as in the photo below.

They are from an Ikea shelving unit, but Ikea don't appear to sell them seperately and I can't seem to find them anywhere else.

Not even sure exactly what to call them, so that may be why I can't find them.

    Any help appreciated.

Try ikea themselves, they sell spare parts.

As I said, "Ikea don't appear to sell them seperately"

Ok, you did, they look pretty simple to fabricate with wire, pliers and a vice.

They used to be called "magic wires" or "invisible wires" and the shelf needs to have a stopped groove cut in both ends to accommodate. Woodfit used to be my source of supply. These days try Unico, or in my part of the world (well almost) A C Sissling in Bradford

They are 3mm thick, so thicker than most coat hangers and need to be a precise fit. They aren't that difficult to find if you know what they are called

    Really?:

    Sissling Magic Wires Prices 001_001.JPG

That's A C Sissling's prices (walk-in, at their counter). And they supply Hafele ones..... (which aren't sold as separate items?)

    Many thanks!

As I suspected, not knowing the correct name didn't help in my search.
