Hiding rad pipes?

I've half an idea to move the radiator in a bedorrom from it's current location on an inside wall to the opposite wall which is nearer the bed and would then be under the window. Along with other improvements to the room i would really like to hide the pipework away and was wondering if this is done much or feasible. I was thinking i could hire a wall chaser and run that around the two walls, run the copper pipework in the grrove, foam pad it so theres some room to expand and contract, then fill. Would this work.. are there better options? Will a wall chaser work through brick (which one of the walls is)?

ps.. i had thought about making the heating underfloor but dont really have the option of raising the floor level without an awful lot of work.

Why not run the pipework under the floorboards if it is a bedroom.

If so, why not drop down to the rad from the loft space.

Don't tell me you have had the loft converted

Wall chaser is about £60 a day to hire and creates a lot of dust and work.

Surface mount the pipes and box in.

Eeewwww.. no.. that wouldn't work for me at all. I have since read though about someone else doing this. Apparently it's ok but the pipes may attract moisture in warm weather so should maybe be encased before burying...?

Thats pretty much the sort of thing i had in mind.. although looking at that i guess you wouldnt even need to fill the void eh.. hmnnnn chaser would still be the thing to get that void wouldnt it? Do they go that wide?

I am sure you guys just want to use a noisey manly machine to do it? uPVC skirting would do a nice job if you can sneak the two pipes in 8mm coated microbore behind the hollow profile. Nicely mitred it would look the biz and would look great for ages compared to wood!
Might need elbows of corners??
