Hikvision dvr no video to tv but ok on phone app

had cctv unplugged due to decorating today and when finished I plugged cdmi into tv but there's no video , I can see a hikvison embedded video screen when it boots up but it goes black . its a Hikvision dvr-208q-f1 , I can see video ok on the phone app ok

Not familiar with the hiwatch range.

use a web browser log into DVR and look at the DVR display settings would be my first point of call.
 
sorted I managed to get on via vga, spoke to support and the tv setting needed changing for a different tv to one that worked, it throw me as I tried 3 different tv's

glad its sorted.

The display settings can be an issue with different TV sets and the output from the DVR/NVR.

Same TV should not have been an issue with the same cable unless cable got damaged or display settings changed at the DVR or TV.
