Hive instalation

Hi, just bought a hive to try and control my little ones bedroom temp, and thought it was a simple replacement to the control box and thermostat i have in place,

i removed the thermostat wires and connected the hive. The hive was connected power wise, but wasn’t communicating with the boiler.

any assistance greatly recieved.

What programmer was being replaced? Did you set the Honeywell on max? Why is it just to control little one’s room?

I disconnected the honeywell thermostat initially, didn’t work, reconnected it set it to max, still didn’t work.
It’s al altech one pic attatched

the little one sleeps so badly, and room temp is a big thing, placing the thermostat in there will allow us to regulate it better and smarter

Ok, did you purchase hive dual channel? I’m guessing from the wiring you have an s-plan? If so, You only need heating on and hot water on, L and N.

thanks for the Reply, Apologies but i don’t know what an s plan is, and i bought the hive from scewfix, it’s for a condensing boiler with no tank. Which is what i have.
Are you saying i should only have the three wires conected, earth neutral and live? Disconnect everything else?

Ah ok, I know a bit more about your setup now. L to L, N to N, 3 to 3 and place the link that’s between 1 and 4 on altech to L and Com.

I can do that, but haven’t got a terminal named COM. Would it be one of the numbered ones?

Sorry, it’s common, which is terminal number 1.
