Hello Everyone,
I bought the Hive Thermostat System (Heating Only). My current boiler is Worcester Greenstar 24I Junior. The current installation has a separate mains power supply to Boiler. Picture Below

And then there is another wire from boiler connected to Honeywell Thermostat. It’s a simple thermostat to switch the central heating on and off. I do not have any timer installed currently (inbuilt or otherwise).

Just wondering how easy is to install the Hive thermostats with current boiler set up. Below is the Hive wiring diagram. If I am understanding it correctly, according to this dia both mains and heating on off wire connection goes into the Hive Reciever. How would the installtion for Hive work in this case?

The receiver needs power to work.

So, you just connect L & N from the switch and the wires that go to the thermostat to 1 & 3.

your pics arent showing bottom right hand corner upload a file then add your pics that way

Thanks Ian and EFLImpudence. Ian, below is the picture I hope I have taken it correctly. The wire on left is the mains power. The wire on right goes to Honeywell Thermostat.

For the thermostat to 1 & 3, which one I use for live and neutral? I guess 1 will be for neutral and 3 for live? Also, another question, Would the earth wires from both switch and thermostat go togather to "Earth Tether" ?

They are not Live and Neutral but Live and Switched live.

It doesn't actually matter which way round with only two but connect Brown to 1 and Blue to 3.

As said, it doesn't actually matter with only the two but do it the other way round.

Also, another question, Would the earth wires from both switch and thermostat go togather to "Earth Tether" ?
Yes all earth wires should be connected together at each accessory.
