Hi all. I have bought the new hive v2 for heating and hot water. I have removed the Honeywell ST7100 to label the wires and it has no wire for CH off. There is a COM link bit COM is not in the Hive instructions.

Get rid of the COM wires you dont need them, hive powers the switches internally.
After that its wire for wire onto the hive back plate.

Oh and you dont need a CH off wire.

Thanks for the info. Do I need to reconnect the earth?

The Hive receiver does not need an earth connection. However, a convenient "earth tether" is provided for you to 'park' any existing earth wire so that is not left floating around loose.

Thanks that makes it easier to safely secure the wire.
