Hi All,

Brought a new pop-up waste for my bath.

I managed to remove the old overflow (all be it) with pliers in the holes and twisting.. it broke while doing it, but got there in the end.

Now focused on the waste. The nut is quite hard to grip, but managed to get some good purchase on it.

However the holes in the bath side keep breaking off. I am down to 2 bits of metel left to grip again with pliers. But trying to hold 2 lots of pliers in no mean feat ! And the nut is not budge-ing. It just keeps spining....

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Whats my worst case here ?

Does heat help

Cut the nut off with a hacksaw takes a bit of time, and if its a plastic bath don't cut through it
