I have very little knowledge on power tools so I would like some help.

We have a Blackspur drill and would like to know if we can attach an holesaw and onto it? I'm not too sure how these things work.

yes as long as it has a chuck and is off sufficient power

My girlfriend's dad think's it has enough power, I know for a fact the drill doesn't, but I won't mention it as he insists that it would be enough :p

not the best place to use a hole saw

i would experiment on some timber at ground level first incase its to dangerouse

The sofit isn't going to be very thick is it?

I use my battery drill to drill through most stuff.

Choose a welded band holesaw (a quality one such as Starrett) and you'll get through ok, but at 550W there's not much power left, so take it easy and don't let the wood burn.
John :)

How is a soffit 70mm thick???

They're either 1/4" ply or 9mm foam filled pvc, you'd drill through both with a cordless
