hope you have a great time, holidays are the thing now, im getting fed up working, weve had 3 holidays this year, another 2 booked and hopefuly egypt at christmas/new year

Yes we love the storms and hurricane season is on it's way!
We have a 4 bed log cabin on 50 aches of land just outside Waycross GA in the Okefenokee swamp. The lightning storms are spectacular and come every evening around 5pm and yes it's rains like never before!

We have wild deer, bears, alligators, raccoons and all sorts of wildlife coming into the main garden.

AK47 sorts them out if they push it though, no we don't shoot them, across the bow.

I know what you mean! I'm winding down ready to pack it all in and watch my son grow, missed alot with the older ones but they are well looked after for it.

I'm not into the package holiday gig though. Like to blend in with the locals so to speak, much better experience.

Hope you're not all-inclusive in the D R. The food can be a bit risky. Neighbours went 2 years ago, and ended up on drips.

I'm sure you'll be fine, but pack the Immodium just the same!
