Not more money to find.
I've told her indoors we've got to knock the house down & move into a cave, or become assylum seekers (stating assylum status as our own government wants to tax me back to the middle ages) so we get state handouts.

Sod it no I wont I'll do as every other bloke does, get up go to work for a few hours longer to pay up & shut up...............but for how long Mr prescott.

Your's

I think the govt should slap a breathing tax on John Prescott

This really makes me angry. When we bought our house 3 years ago it was failling down so, we've spent all our hard gotten savings and lived as cheaply as possible just to get it done up and improved.

In some ways I wonder if it was all worth it because now this flaming govt. is going to punish us for going without so we can live in a nice house

I think I'll rent the next cave to you comms.....

It is ridiculous!
When improving your home, don't you pay VAT on the products? Don't you pay (if needed) trades people, keeping them in work so they can pay TAX and NI?
Then also because of the improvements your council puts you home in a higher band for the council tax.

Isn't that improvement tax enough?
