Asian dude in Islington:

"We've put a lot of low voltage lighting in so its a lot more eco-friendly"

Followed by screenshots of ghastly halogen "stick" lights.

I found myself shouting at the TV

"NO ITS NOT YOU COMPLETE WAZZOCK!"

Do they not check these shows to make sure they are factually correct before they air? Or is this classed as "opinion" even though he is 100% wrong?

I saw it too, but I thought they were skirting board led's he was on about? But either way, if he wants to be eco-friendly then ELV is what he wants. TBH, if they're trying to be eco-friendly then they need to go back to square one, I couldn't belive what I was seeing when they "re-decorated it."

No No No
Get YOUR facts right

ELV is NOT energy efficient.

A 12volt 50watt halogen lamp is ELV but it is still 50watts.

LOW energy lamps are provide a more efficient amount of illumination for the amount of power they consume. They could be 12volt, 230volt etc.

Yes, yes, yes!! Point taken, but the point I was trying to get across is the guy said eco-friendly, and if you see the clip, you'll see lighting is only 1 of the issues..

just watched a bit of that. Whats the chances of her being in a marketing or sales type role?

She said it was rewired??
I bet it was a 'its not on show, so cut corners with that, means more money to blow on shyte wallpaper' moment when they nailed the poor sparky down on price.

Why would they spend all that money and have a fugly plug and flex connecting the new boiler to the sockets? Why not a dedicated circuit for this? Looks carp

Those low voltage, non-low energy light fittings look rather like standard G9 halogen caps, probably 20W each.

I wonder how long that TV mounted directly above the radiator will last?

I like the way they now have mix and match flat plate switches and bog standard white plastic on show in the same room. fugly again

I love how much they paid for the place. £300k+. And its now worth nearly half a million. FFS. Ok so its 900sqft, but property prices are a disgrace in London. I mean, how do people get a step on the property ladder? Nobody with an income below £100k can afford a house, surely?

Probably referring to the leds as he may know they are low power consumption, the screen shot is down to the editing suite and they would'nt know an led from a flood light.
