As the fuel tap is now very hard to turn would it do any damage eg flood engine if left turn on ?

Have a spare replacement but I would find it hard to replace.

Many machines don't actually have a fuel tap - although they are a good thing if there is any sign of fuel leakage.
Personally I retro fit them if the machine is left in the proximity of a boiler or whatever......just in case!
It shouldn't be a big deal to replace yours - but do go for the genuine Honda item.
