Honeywell alarm fault

I recently replaced my old optima alarm box with new compact G4 box (I’m a novice ) as I was replacing all rechargeable batteries anyway.I was told on a forum wires were simple swop over,all seems to be ok but when I tried ‘Alarm test ‘ I pressed PROG - all indicators light
Enter code - day + tamper should light ( I get power + tamper light !)
Press 0 - day/tamper /attack should light = test mode
I get continual beeps and 2(pir), 6,7,8 (not used) light up with power light.
I’ve obviously wired something wrong,is it possible any of you experienced guys can tell by the vague info what I’ve done wrong,please bear in mind I’m a novice. Thanks in advance.

Need to linkout 678 or make not used and you have a fault on zone 2 whatever 2 is

Thanks for quick reply, when you say link out 678 does that mean wire 678 together as one
( wire from 6 to 7 and 7 to 8 )
