Can anyone tell me where the external temperature sensor is on this thing? Will it be on the thermostat unit itself or will it be on the BDR?

CM7xx is the contract range. I don't it has the external sensor function. If it does you need to buy the sensor which comes with a little plug that goes into the back plate.

Thank you. But how does it sense the external temperature. The LCD indicates, what I think is the room temperature, so there must be a sensor somewhere, I would think.

The sensor is for the room. The External sensor is for ..... Outside.

THe room sensor is built into the unit - hence it is called a "Programmable Thermostat"

Thank you - but where is the sensor located? Top, Bottom, side?
I am trying to put something cold against it, to lower the temperature that the sensor is sensing (if you understand what I mean).

Not entirely sure - look for some small slits that would let air flow.

You can program an offset of ±3° if the unit is fitted in a daft place.

Aaaaahhhh, I see the slits in the top thank you. Not sure how to program the +-3 degrees mind you.
