Hi. My son has moved into a house with this alarm fitted. It work OK at the time, but he recently discovered that the shower was leaking and water poured down the inside of the wall on which the Remote Key Pad is fitted. As a result, fuse F4 on the main panel, which controls the power supply to the RKP, blew. The whole thing has dried out now and we fitted a new fuse and switched on, but it blew again immediately.

Would anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next? Would it be worth disconnecting the connecting cable and running another temporary one, just to see if the connecting cable is damaged (although I wouldn't have thought that likely). How would you know if the RKP has been damaged by water ingress?

All suggestions gratefully received.

Remove all the wires at the keypad end , replace fuse ,if it's ok , replace keypad...if it still blows remove cable at panel end , if it still blows ...replace panel ....if it's ok replace cable ...
