I am confused whether to use terminal 2 or 3 in the block and terminate the other in a terminal block with the earth..

Terminal 1 is the live
Terminal 2 is the neutral
Terminal 3 is the switched live
Earth is earth

The diagram you have posted of the new stat is rather unusual, and it doesn't show the full picture. There are 3 connections on the diagram (none of them a neutral) yet 7 sockets. Where are the terminals that the wires connect to? is there a wiring diagram in the instructions that came with it?

Thank you.
There are three terminals
1) heating
2) common
3) cooling

I just need 1 and 2
