Hi,

I'm replacing my Honeywell thermostat with a new Honeywell thermostat.

My current thermostat is connected to the control panel using terminals 1 and 3.

Do I need to connect all three terminals on my new thermostat (Honeywell T6360B Room Thermostat) for it to work? I'm replacing like for like so I'm not sure why the old thermostat only had 2 wires connected. As you can see from the top picture getting access to the third wire is going to be tricky.

The third wire is needed to make the unit work correctly. It is a neutral.

Change the one you have bought to a dt90e, and it will be much better and work correctly on two wires.
