I have a miele hoover and the plug got trashed. It was a sealed unit so I though i could just cut the plug off and replace it. It only has two wires though, blue and brown, dose anyone know if I can get a plug for it. thanks

You can just fit a standard 13A plug top.

As there is no earth wire in the cable, do not connect anything to the earth pin.

Just connect live and neutral as normal.

Also, take the fuse out of the old plug and fit it in place of the 13A fuse supplied with your new plug. This will ensure you use a fused sized apropriatly for your appliance.

taking the ****?

any regular 13A plug will be fine..
available for a few pence from almost anywhere including your local corner shop most likely..

An essential safety measure when disposing of any redundant molded on plug - removing the fuse prevents live end of cut flex electrocuting kids who may find the discarded plug and try to insert in into a socket.
