Just back hols with loads of washing, 1st wash hadn't spun, 2nd wash water will not drain....I've now tried washing this bundle at different settings, none will drain or spin. B4 hols I had used the dryer once, clothes came out very wet. It's 2nd hand and I've only used dryer 3/4 times. Checked other messages, so now got hose to drain into a basin after this cycle. Will I get a plumber in??

No point in getting a plumber, it's a whitegoods engineer you need.
From your description it sounds as though your pump is blocked or faulty.
As it's not draining it won't spin.

As to the dryer not working properly, did you know that the dryer function only handles half the load?

Yes Thanks for the advice. I know it should only be half full for drying and I've only dried a couple of things in it. I think you're right about the hose....I guess I'll need to see if it's choked up. I was wondering if the 'filter' for the dryer might be choked as well? But I don't know where about this is, any ideas?

I managed to get a pal to look at the washer/dryer. A Bratz doll chain was found in the pump outlet! Problem solved!!
