Hi all

I have a Hoover DXOA610AHFN-80 machine and when the drum turns it’s happy a knocking sound. At first I thought it was overloaded but turning it by hand when it’s empty the noise can still be heard, also there seems to be a lot of play in the inner drum front to back.

Any ideas on what this could be or if it’s even repairable?

Thanks

Sounds like the bearing has gone, and i don't think the bearings are replaceable with that model, which means new drum assembly at about £200 plus labour:( same thing with my 2 year old washer recently the repair would cost more than buying new.

Thanks for that.

I can’t believe you can’t replace the bearings. I took off the rear cover and pulley and could see the outer bearing which is available to buy but just not sure about inner. Nothing last anymore

guessing these are sealed drums
