Our VOKERA Compact HE Combi Boiler seems to cut out when running hot water from our bathroom.

It simply "goes cold" whilst taking a shower, etc. - when we look at the front panel on the boiler itself, the red light has come on. We have to reset on the Mode Selector Switch so we get the green light again.

Some days it turns off more frequently than others, some days not at all! we can't see any reason. It seems to be a problem when the heating is on, but that said - there was no problem this morning.

The pressure all seems to be OK too.

Any help greatly appreciated.

a common cure on this combi is that the plate heat exchanger(PHE) is blocked and needs cleaning. check to see if the hot feed to the PHE is really hot, then check the HW supply pipe from the PHE, the 2 pipes should be of the same temp when the HW is running, if not then you simply remove the PHE and give it a good clean out, an air line is recommended, remember to turn of at the mains water supply and drain down the boiler to 0 pressure, replace all sealing washers to the PHE when re connecting.
