I have a Vokera compact combi with central heating but no hot water.
Hot water turns on for few minutes when heating is on
Any help
Thanks in advance

At first sight this would be a failed DHW flow switch.

Black thing on lower right inside.

That assumes water is coming out cold!

turn combi to hot water setting/summer setting

open hot tap...... does the water heat up at all, does boiler fire at all?

do you have water coming out of hot tap, is flow rate out of hot tap reduced

post back with answers

possibly could be wot Agile says or possibly water flow regulator choked as usual

omark, slow down and give specific answers

when you open a hot tap does water come out the tap

1 yes or 2 no

if you do have water coming out of your hot tap, is the flow of water

1 more or 2 less or 3 same

if water comes out of hot tap does burner fire up at all

1 yes or 2 yes but fires on/off/on/off or 3 does not fire

id say if no water out of tap then the filter on the back right incoming cold always going. id try the dhw n t c ( thermistor ) or if not that ignition board central heating working?

1-when I open the hot tap no water comes out if heating is off
2-hot water comes out for a short time when heating is on and the flow is same.
3-The hot water comes out when the heating is on but doesn't burn
I hope this helps.
Thanks in advance

in number 1 I mean :
water comes out cold when I open the hot tap ( when central heating is off )

I suggested the DHW flow switch should be checked and Bell suggested the DHW temperature sensor ( although I dont remember if that would stop the boiler working if it was o/c ).

However, you have made no mention of doing either of these checks.

I therefore conclude that you are at the end of what you feel able to do. If so then you could consider calling Glasglowgas through the contact details one expects he has registered on his profile.

have a look at your installationand service manual

it will tell you how to replace dhw flow regulator

dont replace it lob it in the bin

its pretty easy for a diyer to do and you are not entering
combustion chamber

im afraid your answers are not very clear, are you saying when you turn boiler to hot water mode then open any hot tap, that no water comes out?

dont worry about temperature the now are you saying that you open a hot tap and nothing comes out?

theres a black stopcock on the very right hand side underneath the boiler
on 15mm pipe attached to boiler, this should be fully open

Sorry for the confusion
Water comes out but it is not hot
Thanks

is the boiler locking out after a couple mins-prob ign board

if not most likely flow reg as stated by gg

changed the DHW flow regulator today .
Now when open hot water tap (with boiler selection on hot water only ) the boiler just clicks and doesn't fire .
When central heating is on ( with boiler selection on heating and water ), the boilers fires up , but as soon as the hot water tap is opened to get hot water the gas burners stop . All I get is some warm water and then everything goes cold .
If I put the tap of hot water off the heating comes back on.
I thank you for your help

if you have removed the flow regulator, which would have gunged up anyway, test dhw flow switch is operating, simple flow switch check with multimeter open circuit/closed circuit.

replacement of secondary themistor ( part number 8484) is again diy possible, so is testing of flow switch

last thermistor i got ( heatspares, helen st, govan) was about £8
