Hot water only hot if cold tap turned on

Hi,

Sadly not at home at the moment so I cant tell you the make of the combi boiler but the water from our hot water taps is only hot if I run a cold tap at the same time otherwise it is luke warm.

Anyone any ideas on what can be causing this?

It used to be fine up until about a month ago.

Central heating works fine

If it's a combi boiler, mine used to do the same. It was the diaphragm about to fail.

All depends on make AND model of boiler. Best to post it then you can be advised...
